TamaRPG (aka Mars-Cat) is a graphic designer and cosplayer from Thailand. She’s a fan of anime, manga (lots of manga, in fact), video and online games and, obviously, of S4 League which is an online multiplayer anime shooter game, published by Alaplaya in Western countries. The costume TamaRPG has made shows one of the characters available to players in S4 League and looks really awesome. It was just a couple of days ago that i went totally apeshit on Alaplaya’s fucked-up ARGO Online Beta IP blockade that left me out of playing after sending me a beta key, and now it appears that GPotato has picked up the same kind of behavior: blocking away registrations based on IP. What Alaplaya did: first they allowed me to register and THEN banned from playing (i couldn’t even access my account anymore, and their support did not even know why is that). What GPotato does: they won’t even let me register an account while i’m under Russian IP. What a bunch of lousy motherfuckers. Anyways, a gamer can never be turned away from a game by some minor obstacles (unless dealing with Korean government). As i want to play both ARGO Online and Prius Online very badly, i’m exploring ways to get past the IP block and into the games. (more…)

Well, I’m outraged. I want to smash things and make people bleed slowly and painfully by cutting them with a blunt spoon. Remember that ARGO Online Closed beta thing i was so cheerful about? Well, after getting a beta code, entering it, waiting for several months, being chosen for the beta i am BANNED from it because i choose “Russian Federation” country setting! They choose my account to participate in beta, but they won’t let me in because I’m from Russia!!! Now i have to lie about my country of origin and nationality just to play some fucking game? How fucked up is that? Seriously? (more…)

AlaPlaya is a world-wide game publishing network that is going to release ARGO Online (a hybrid between fantasy and steampunk genres, i wrote about it here and here). Now i’m getting really nervous about ARGO because of what one of AlaPlaya divisions is doing right now: www.alaplaya.eu is keep sending illiterate, dumb and absolutely clueless spam thinking they’re making an “offer” (and probably a good one!) to its players:
“Hello ChickGeek, we wish to give you some starting funds for your favorite game. Just download one of the alaplaya games, create your own charakter and buy cool items. Click here to see the alaplaya games. As soon as you have created your own charakter in one of the games, you will receive your bonuspoints”.
CharaKter. And these people are supposed to sell us games. (more…)
