Famous Fails: Popular Games That Are Actually Horrible There are things that people around you get crazy about. For you it seems like everyone had tried these things, found them super-cool and told you how cool are those things you’re missing. You feel outdated. You feel left behind. You’re missing something great going on out there, somewhere, you totally must go and take a look for yourself! And you totally do that – take a look for yourself, gasp in a awe and say… what a shitload of crap, pardon my French! There are games like this. People rate them high and bla-bla-bla-what-a-cool-game-this-is about them, but when you take a look – it’s a fail.
I’m going to write about games that became a personal fail for me and upgrade this post each time i have a new “winner”.

Mind you, this is my personal (not so) humble opinion on the games i have tried for myself and found horrible to play. The fan base of those said games are welcome to leave me comments as long as you’re not starting a holy war there (and if you do, at least be creative, i still might be missing something about particular game, so let me see it, not just jump at the popular “this game is best” clichés).

Now, this is a different story. A story of a game that was a famous fail at the beginning of its life - but got fixed, patched and in time became a real gem that would shine if this game was released, say, last or this year – but not many people know about it. Because if you fail once, it’s almost impossible to avert the damage. It’s the story of Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. So, we all heard it was a big fail, right? But how and why did it happened in the first place? And why now i’m calling this game “a gem” when you probably heard no one plays it now?
