Deep Black Online: free2play Sci-Fi MMTPS announced by Russian developer

Deep Black Online: free2play Sci-Fi MMTPS announced by Russian developerI just couldn’t walk past this – it’s not so often when a development team from my country announces an online game! So, the deal is: Deep Black Online has been announced by Biart Studio (based in Moscow, Russia). These guys like to make games about diving and underwater (I’m already starting to love them) and are using their own engine with full 3D support. Deep Black Online is a F2P sci-fi session-based shooter game that will let you combat in all manners of environment – the land, the underwater and the air – using more than 30 types of sci-fi weapons at launch, but we can safely double that because each weapon is said to have different modes for land and water. “Our company focuses on underwater themes in games and we are planning to demonstrate the full potential of Deep Black franchise in our MMOTPS project” said Konstantin Popov, Biart Studio´s CEO. There is a way to register an account for Alicia Online to play it – even if you don’t have a Korean friend to do it for you! Hellgate: Closed Beta Keys Give-Away

Hellgate: Closed Beta Keys Give-AwayNearly 3 years have passed since T3 Entertainment took control of Flagship Studios’ title Hellgate: London – originally the game had both single-player and MMO-like pay2play gameplay modes, but the game’s MMO part was cancelled short after launch. Now, T3 is almost ready to show us what new Hellgate will be like – closed beta testing will be taking place for a short period of June 3 to 5, and the new Hellgate version is said to be free2play this time. You can claim your key at GameOgre or Massively – both are giving away Hellgate closed beta keys right now. Also, i included a Hellgate: London sneak peak video (behind the cut) for those who have no idea what it was about. (more…)

Eden Eternal: Closed Beta Sign-up And In-Game Footage

Eden Eternal: Closed Beta Sign-up And In-Game FootageEden Eternal is new F2P PVP MMORPG developed by X-Legend and Aeria Games. The game is supposed to have a few fresh features, like unlockable classes that you can switch between as you unlock the new ones (it is unknown yet how similar to RIFT this system is). It has several different races (including animal-like) and players could establish their own towns. Eden Eternal is already released in Japan, and English version is reaching Closed Beta Test phase – CBT sign-up has opened today, at the official website. (more…)

Prius Online: Closed Beta First Impressions

Prius Online: Closed Beta First ImpressionsPrius Online is a free2play fantasy MMORPG previously released in Japanese and Chinese languages and that i was anticipating for long, and now is on the way to being released on English by GPotato. I must admit that i missed the biggest part of the beta due to my diving trip to Egypt, but i managed to spend a few days in Prius Online Closed Beta and here are my impressions on the game. It’s always hard to sum up your thought on a new game after you can’t get in anymore. Also, because i only spent a few days out of all time i probably saw much less stuff than anyone who were playing from the start, so i am not going into revealing any dramatic details or such. Just talking about what i saw and how i thought/felt about it. (more…)

Lucent Heart: Power of Friendship! B.F.F. Beta starts May 12

I have posted a gameplay trailer and a mind-blowing preview trailer a while ago, so here’s a newer one – they posted it for the beta event: (more…)

Hidden Pearls: GodVille – Massively-multiplayer Zero-player Game (Doubt It You Even Knew This Concept Could Exist at all!)

Hidden Pearls: GodVille – Massively-multiplayer Zero-player Game (Doubt It You Even Knew This Concept Could Exist at all!)The title of this post says “massively-multiplayer zero-player game” and you may think that I’m making a mistake here due to English being my second language, but i am not. How could a game be a multiplayer and zero-player at the same time?! Turns out, it’s really possible! A weird genre indeed, but it does exist even while it’s pretty much safe to say you have never heard of it. I’m talking about GodVille here, a proud exemplar of a genre it did not created, but greatly improved. This game has a great deal of people playing it and all the attributes of an MMO – cities, monsters, quests, items, PVP, even pets that characters can tame and care for. Yet, at the same time there are no direct actions that you can take in this game, even upon your own character besides creating it. Intriguing? So let’s find out more how that even works! (more…)

Access blocked based on country of origin in both Prius Online and ARGO online – Details of blockage.

Access blocked based on country of origin in both Prius Online and ARGO online – Details of blockage. It was just a couple of days ago that i went totally apeshit on Alaplaya’s fucked-up ARGO Online Beta IP blockade that left me out of playing after sending me a beta key, and now it appears that GPotato has picked up the same kind of behavior: blocking away registrations based on IP. What Alaplaya did: first they allowed me to register and THEN banned from playing (i couldn’t even access my account anymore, and their support did not even know why is that). What GPotato does: they won’t even let me register an account while i’m under Russian IP. What a bunch of lousy motherfuckers. Anyways, a gamer can never be turned away from a game by some minor obstacles (unless dealing with Korean government). As i want to play both ARGO Online and Prius Online very badly, i’m exploring ways to get past the IP block and into the games. (more…)

Faunasphere: “You restored our world” and It’s Closed Now

Faunasphere: “You restored our world” and It’s Closed NowFaunasphere was a very nice game by BigFishGames i wrote about in this post – a mix of MMO, casual and artificial life genres in a browser-based shell, with nice graphics and interesting, unusual gameplay. It’s sad for me to say that now it’s been shut down and no longer available to play. BigFishGames posted this on Faunasphere.com: “You saved our world! You came, you adopted, you zapped, and you put tremendous effort into caring for these charming creatures. Thanks to your commitment as a Caretaker, the Fauna now have a clean world to call home. We can’t thank you enough for being part of Faunasphere. We couldn’t have done it without you.” There is also a short FAQ list posted about why the game was closed, doesn’t tells so much, but i’m also posting it here behind the cut. (more…)

ARGO Online Closed Beta Test Has begun! And I’m Giving Away a Beta Key in This PostARGO Online is a Hybrid Steampunk\Fantasy MMORPG by alaplaya, which was supposed to be released until the end of 2010 but somehow got postponed. Alicia Online: New Gameplay Details Translated From A Korean Review (And More New Screenshots!)

Alicia Online: New Gameplay Details Translated From A Korean Review (And More New Screenshots!)After going Open Beta February 10, Alicia Online is getting more and more press and player attention right now. Korean web-portal BetaNews.net has posted a short article about Alicia Online (link is in Korean ;), which i’m posting here for you. It is really short but tells us about some gameplay details that were only hinted by Alicia Online screenshots before, so it’s worth reading. Also, I’m going to post more information like this later. A side note: rather than a direct translation of the said article this post is an exposition of what is said there. My Korean is currently revolving around an ability to decipher hieroglyphs into syllables, so i have to make an extensive use of a translation software – but with my experience of translation between other languages i can at least make out the whole point of the text, if not the exact wording. If anyone more fluent in Korean happens to stumble upon this post, I’d be grateful for any mistakes pointed out. (more…)

More Stuff For Weekend: Divine Souls Is Back Online

More Stuff For Weekend: Divine Souls Is Back OnlineGood news, everyone!© Divine Souls servers are open again for the current weekend! Divine Souls is a free-to-play fantasy action MMO developed by GamePrix and released by Outspark, which is currently *supposedly* undergoing an open beta stage. Supposedly because, when DS beta was opened it was barely playable and bugged like hell, players started to leave and Outspark closed Divine Souls servers until further notice to fix the bugs. It was almost a month ago – January 27, 2011 actually. Outpark was planning to open game servers only for a 6 hour window, but as they write on the official website – “Because the game has remained stable all day, we are extending this 6 hours open server window through the rest of the weekend!”. Game servers haven’t crashed in SIX consecutive hours – an improvement worthy of an early alpha version, but pre-release?! Oh, for holy Metroid Prime’s sake! Before i get any more sarcastic, there’s a fresh Divine Souls PVP video for you behind the cut. (more…)
