First of all: this cosplay of Catherine is absolutely gorgeous. I had no chance to play the game when I still had my PS3, but from game art I’ve see, this cosplay is right on spot. The beautiful cosplayer doing this is Elian, (check out her DeviantArt account here) she is from Moscow, Russia. She’s a future lawyer and want to see Japan some day, but in the meantime she enjoys making costumes from her favourite anime and Japanese games. The photos are taken by Taya, here’s her DeviantArt page too.
Funny thing, when I first found this cosplay and took a look at the photographer, she happened to be studying in Moscow’s British High School of Design & Art on Graphic Design program, and I began studying AT THE VERY SAME school just a week ago, only she’s in full enrolment and I am at preparation 6 month long courses. We might even meet in a corridor or something, isn’t that funny how small the world is? (more…)
I’m sure everyone who had ever played any games has a favourite one, and I’m sure as hell it has a map of its world. Perhaps, you even have a favourite map of a game world? My personal favourite is The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind map, because it’s one of those maps which had a physical copy, and it’s the one and only paper map I ever had. So there: many games has so very awesome maps, they are simply worth sharing and checking out, and even if you did see them already, aren’t they worth looking at again? I found such a heap of awesome maps of game worlds that I had to divide them into parts, Part 1 can be read here. (more…)
Another gaming cosplay, this time it’s a Wizard (Elyos) character from Aion fantasy MMORPG by Anita Lust, a cosplayer from Ukraine. Besides cosplaying, Anita is into anime and she also sews costumes for sale for other cosplayers – check Anita Lust’s viantArt page here. I was shocked to learn that people are actually telling her to stop cosplaying because she has an 8-year old daughter and therefore is “old”. I certainly hope she’ll keep ignoring those morons, because, I must say, there is no “awesome” or “amazing” in this post’s title only because I already called most of the previous posts that and it looks kinda repeated. But Anita’s cosplay IS amazing too. I especially like the background setting author choose for this photo set, it’s bright and sunny, and compliments the costume very well. The photos themselves are by Eva.
In the previous two part i wrote how to import content from Blogger into WordPress, how to set up URL structure at WordPress to be just like in Blogger (so your site won’t lose any ratings) and how to fix Featured images in WordPress (“fix” in a sense that they do not exist at all after the import). This post is a list of useful plugins you might need to get working before actually launching you WordPress blog. I did not include SEO plugins because, you know, I’m not talking about setting up some money-making niche blog here, i’m talking about setting up a blog that works and has all the essential functions. You can read Part 1 here and Part 2 here.
Kamael is a race in an MMORPG Lineage II, and they are distinguished from light and dark elves by their unusual appearance – each individual bearing a single wing. This cosplay looks very well done, the costumes show Salamander Skin light armor D-grade set, and i must say, they are the best Kamaels out there I’ve seen so far. And the most pleasant part for me is that the both cosplayers are Russians, lol! Kamael-male is done by ErikDesler - whose real name is Pavel – and Kamael-female is Leetah, who has a 6-years old kid and “a rather demanding job”, so she has not much time to spent on her cosplaying projects. Both cosplayers live in Moscow, the costumes were each made by their respective owner, with wings and rapiers made by them together. Photosets are by JustMoolti (who is also living in Moscow) and by Tis. (more…)
Chinese military training game is to be released as online shooter “Glorious Mission”, features its own Master Chief
Well, this is something really new! There are games used in some countries to train specialists – pilots, captains and military, that kind of thing – and one of these games is going to be released for everyone in China to play. A game that has been developed for military training of personnel of the armed forces of China will be available to all civilian gamers under the title of “Glorious Mission” (locally known as “光荣使命”). It was developed by joint efforts of Nanjing Military Region Game Center and Wuxi Giant Network, and was used to give soldiers and officers an idea what the real battlefield experience might be, so it has some really unique features none of the other FPS games can offer. The game itself uses DX11 and one of the most advanced products ever released on Chinese gaming market in the terms of technical realisation.
I believe, this kind of costumes are called “fur cosplay”, but i am not a specialist. Though, even i can see how awesome this costume is – i love the moogle’s ears most – and looking at the photos i can help but keep wondering, how hard in fact it was to make a costume like this come to life. Good thing it seems to be autumn when this photo shoot has been taken, or i bet it would be very hot in all that fur, lol!
Anyway, this amazing costume was made by Semashke, a Lithuanian cosplayer currently living in UK, and the costume participated in NowJapan 2011 in Vilnius and Russian Animatsuri 2011 photo cosplay contest, and won 3 prizes (not surprisingly!). The Moogle character is actually only looking like a bunny, in fact Moogles are fantasy creatures presented in most Final Fantasy games. Semashke says she chose one from FFXII because it looks more realistic. The photos are by Anna Ozerova and Alexander Schneider ([c:c:c] team).
So exciting! XLGAMES Inc. and Mail.Ru Group have announced a signing of agreement to begin cooperation on bringing ArchAge to Russia. ArchAge is a Korean sandbox fantasy MMO developed by XLGames, with top-notch graphics and many uncommon features, such as player-owned ships that could be used for fighting and extensive crafting and gathering systems. Mail.Ru Group is one of the leading companies on Russian digital entertainment market. It is not clear as to when the release date might be set, but ArcheAge Russian promo site is already up and offering to sign-up for beta testing, and they’ve put a promo video on it too, which I included in the post (behing the cut).
